*Risi Competizione is losing time as they try to get their new Ferrari 488 GTE before the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona. It is expected that the team will receive its new chassis on race week, which is not a good thing at all. Late last year, Team manager, Dave Sims, wanted to take delivery of the new car and do some testing at Sebring before the Rolex 24. However, that plan will not occur as the team is battling time to get the new car to the United States. It will be sad if the team is unable to make the season opener.*

*What a surprise, Michael Shank Racing’s Ligier JS P2 led the morning practice session on the final day of this pre-season test with a lap time of 1:39.438. Mazda’s Number 70 machine was second, SMP Racing’s BR01 in third, the Number 55 Mazda in fourth, and Wayne Taylor Racing’s Corvette DP round out the top five. CORE Autosport led the way in Prototype Challenge with a lap time of 1:42.531. Both Starworks entries round out the top three.*

*Corvette’s Racing Number 4 Corvette C7R led GTLM with a lap time of 1:45.106. The Number 3 Corvette C7R and Team RLL round out the top three. Alex Job Racing led GTD in their new Number 22 Porsche 911 GT3 with a lap time of 1:47.852. Paul Miller Racing and Stevenson Motorsports round out the top three.*

*Tequila Patrón ESM’s Pipo Derani led the way in the final practice session with a lap time of 1:39.249. He has definitely been the star of the weekend. The Deltawing and the Number 31 Action Express Corvette DP round out the top three. The two Starworks LMPC entries led Prototype Challenge in the final session of the weekend.*

*The Number 3 Corvette C7R led GTLM with a lap time of 1:45.227, followed by Chip Ganassi Racing and Porsche North America. The Number 93 Dodge Viper GT3 led the way in GTD with a lap time of 1:47.960. Stevenson Motorsports and Park Place Motorsports round out the top three.*

*As the Roar before the 24 comes to an end, there are many storylines heading into the season opener. Watch out for my Roar before the 24: Debrief for the “interesting” stories heading into the Rolex 24 at Daytona.*
